What’s the format for the online sale?
You will be responsible for photographing and listing your items on your own website/shopping platform, handling all sales, collecting & filing appropriate sales tax, and shipping all sold works out to customers. Clay to Table will have all participating artists, and their website/shop links, listed on a Clay to Table landing page during our show.
How many pots will I be expected to have listed to sell?
In the past, our individual goals were to have around 100 pots. While not everyone can have that many, Clay to Table would encourage you to have at least 30 pots for the online sale. We will be marketing like crazy! But any amount that works best for you is just fine.
How is Clay to Table marketing the show?
Clay to Table will be marketing daily on social media and engaging our audience through live conversations and demonstrations. Print marketing and paid digital advertising will occur closer to the show date. Email newsletters will be sent out to our list once monthly and more frequently and we get closer to the show date. We encourage all participants to share our posts and do your own marketing for the show.
What was that about nominating someone for next year?
We, at Clay to Table, aim to work towards equity by inviting our artists to nominate next year’s artists. After this year’s show, we will be contacting you with a follow up email, asking you to nominate someone that you think would be an excellent participant in our 2025 show.
What about the Sweepstakes Fundraiser mentioned in the initial invitation?
Clay to Table partners with Crafting the Future and will be holding a sweepstakes fundraiser on our website. The prize will be the lovely pieces y’all are donating.
Crafting the Future works to diversify the fields of art, craft and design by connecting BIPOC artists with opportunities that will help them thrive. We’ve raised over $15,000 for CTF! Participating artists and immediate family are disqualified from winning the sweepstakes (sorry y’all!).
Your pieces are due June 1, 2024.

Did I really agree to do an Instagram interview?
Over the months leading up to our show, and during our show weekend we will be hosting Artist interviews on Instagram. We want these interviews to be easy, fun, and informative! You tell us what sounds best for you! It could be a tour of your studio, a tour of your kiln, a demonstration of any part of your process you’d like to share, a show and tell of the pots you have in the show or pots in your collection, or a simple interview. We (Kyle, Courtney, Didem, Yesha, Jerilyn) will act as the interviewers. We’ll be prepared with questions to keep the ball rolling, or will do our best to follow your lead! We promise that there will be no hardball questions, and in fact, if you have topics you’d like us to ask about, tell us- we’d love that!
Got Questions? Want to talk about any of this?
We are happy to help! We want this show to be a success for all of our artists. Feel free to call or text any of the organizers. DM us on Instagram at @claytotable
